Apidae the heart of the system

Apidae is the tourist information system (SIT) used in New Caledonia. It is the database that lists tourist information: accommodation, leisure and cultural sites, activity providers, restaurateurs, producers, etc.

It is the tourist offices that feed it by entering the destination’s tourist offer sheets, and thus play an essential local role enabling promotion. On a daily basis, Sud Tourisme Nouvelle-Calédonie administers a database of nearly 3,200 information sheets for the South Province.

Apidae delivers reliable, up-to-date information for all uses and promotional tools: those of Sud Tourisme, but also those of other structures (e.g. Aircalin or GIE NCT)

    With over 20,000 visitors per month, the destination’s website is the broadest promotional channel and most exhaustive catalog of the destination.

    Referencing the offer and inspiring web users

    The site combines tourist data from Apidae with inspirational content (e.g. What to do with the family) and practical content (tourist offices, tourist maps…).Thanks to the 3,200 Apidae cards, users can find details of the tourist services offered by socio-professionals, the various hiking trails and natural or cultural sites, as well as the calendar of organized events.

    Easier user experience

    The Apidae cards are organized into thematic lists (hotels, nautical activities…) and display the various service providers in alphabetical order. Users can refine the lists according to various selection criteria (communes, type of activity, payment method…) to find the information they’re looking for in just a few clicks.

    Making the link with socio-professional players

    A pro space is dedicated to tourism professionals to centralize news from the sector and the attractiveness agency, and provide them with practical tools.

      Fairguest E-reputation manager

      Connected to the Apidae files, Fairguest displays the average ratings of the various online platforms and centralizes access to the various feedbacks.

      Capitalize on lived experiences

      Consulting online reviews is an essential step in the process of booking a tourism offer. Fairguest enables visitors who are no longer satisfied with just photos and detailed descriptions to reassure themselves and be reassured in their choices.

      Exploiting the potential of customer reviews

      Information relayed by customers represents a powerful lever that will positively or negatively impact the e-reputation of a tourism professional. If it’s advisable to solicit them, it will always be necessary to moderate them: Fairguest sources satisfaction ratings on several platforms to manage the e-reputation of its establishment centrally.

        Social networking Destination in the palm of your hand

        Sud Tourisme Nouvelle-Calédonie is present on Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and Youtube with an editorial line adapted to each of these networks.

        The aim is to weave a close bond with the various communities on these networks to activate the destination’s promotional levers. The publication calendar is carefully worked out to engage the communities and make them grow again and again. Particular attention is paid to the balance of topics in order to arouse interest in the various sectors across the entire destination.

          Edition Practical aids to make the experience easier

          Tourist maps

          Sud Tourisme Nouvelle-Calédonie has undertaken the redesign of all the destination’s tourist maps. The aim is to create a common framework so that visitors can spot what they’re looking for whatever region they’re in.

          A new map of the Île des Pins was published in early 2023, and the map of Nouméa will be published in June.

          Forthcoming projects include the production of a map of the South Province destination with tourist hotspots.

          Tourist brochures

          Three brochures on Bourail, La Foa and the Grand Sud are available.
