Spend time relaxing and picnicking between the beach and mangroves in a typical West Coast nature setting!
With a great combination of mangroves and sandy beaches, small creeks and rocks, sun and shade, this ocean escape is perfect for families, especially those with young children, or for anyone who just love to picnic by the sea. Tables and barbecues are available on site. You can even camp here. Signposted footpaths give visitors the opportunity to find out more about the mangrove ecosystem.

Note to water sports enthusiasts: one of Ouano’s beaches is renowned for its kitesurfing! Ouano Wharf is also the starting point for a number of different activities.

Important note: the presence of a reef flat means you may have to walk quite far to reach the reef drop-off.

These beaches look out onto a reef flat (the usually horizontal upper side of the reef). The depth varies greatly depending on the tides and is generally quite shallow. You have to walk to get to the drop-off.
