Îlot Bailly

  • Island
dans les eaux du Grand Sud, 98809 Mont-Dore
An aquatic fauna and flora reserve, belonging to the "Natural reserves that are accessible to the public but regulated" of New Caledonia.
It's easy to get there. Several areas are easily accessible for resting and picnicking, for example. The islet allows you to admire the fauna in complete peace of mind. And with a bit of luck, you might even come across dugongs, turtles, or shoals of bonito. More than sixty species of fish live around the islet.
Diving, swimming, snorkelling, camping and bivouacking are authorised all year round.
