Sud Tourisme takes over the reins of the Fédération Calédonienne des Entreprises Publiques Locales

The Fédération Calédonienne des Entreprises Publiques Locales (FCEPL) is pleased to announce that Sud Tourisme, under the able leadership of its president Jean Gabriel Favreau, has been elected to assume the presidency of the organisation.

A new board has also been formed for this new 3-year term with:

•SEM AGGLO (Vice-Chairman)

•PROMOSUD (Treasurer)

•SODEMO (Assistant Treasurer)

•SODIL (secretary)

•NORD AVENIR (assistant secretary)

SEM MWE ARA, SECAL, SUD FORET and CARD SPL are also members of the new board.

Since 2001, the FCEPL, as a federation of local public companies, has played a key role in the development and promotion of the mixed economy in New Caledonia. In addition to lobbying public authorities, it promotes the local public economy and the diversification of activities, supports the regional development of its members and the pooling of their resources, and implements actions aimed at boosting their performance.

Under the new presidency of Jean-Gabriel Favreau, the FCEPL is resolutely committed to pursuing the ambitious projects led by Françoise Suve and strengthening the federation’s fundamental tasks.

In particular, the new board is working on organising a regional conference of Pacific Local Public Enterprises (EPL) from 25 to 29 September. This landmark event will bring together representatives from the region’s various EPLs, as well as decision-makers and institutional players, to foster exchanges, share best practices, and stimulate collaboration for sustainable economic prosperity in the Pacific.
The high point of the meeting was the formalisation of the creation of a regional federation of EPLs.
