Centralizing the missions of the tourist offices in the communes it represents, and strengthened by its membership of ADN Tourisme*, Destination Province Sud is opening 2 tourist information points in Nouméa.

Destination Province Sud is thus demonstrating its desire to showcase the full range of tourist offerings from the various players in the Southern Province, but also to provide excellent support and welcome for visitors to encourage the desire for discovery.

This July 12, the first welcome point is inaugurated at Anse Vata, a few weeks before the opening of a showcase in the town center.

Destination Province Sud at the Aquarium des Lagons

This week, the 1st welcome point is set up on the grounds of the Aquarium des Lagons, on the seafront along one of our magnificent bays.
The Aquarium des Lagons is one of New Caledonia’s most popular tourist and cultural establishments, with an average of 110,000 visitors a year before the health crisis. A visitor advisor will be on hand from Wednesday to Sunday to help visitors find inspiration on sites to discover, activities to plan and tours to organize. Located in the aquarium’s lobby and freely accessible during opening hours, this point of contact will also enable independent consultation when necessary.

Destination Province Sud sur Les Quais

A showcase for tourism in the Southern Province will also see the light of day within the next month, thanks to the support of the City of Nouméa, close to the City Centre, within the Quais complex.
This shopping mall offers a range of entertainment, restaurants and boutiques, and is also a strategic location, close to the seafront Place des Cocotiers and the ferry terminals where cruise passengers and Betico passengers pass through. Renovation work is underway to welcome and guide visitors, and to showcase local craftsmen and artists in an eco-responsible approach to promoting sustainable tourism.

*ADN Tourisme is the merger into a single structure of the three historic federations of institutional tourism bodies: Offices de Tourisme de France, Tourisme & Territoires and Destination Régions.
