The Tourism Stakeholders’ Professionalisation Programme (PPAT) returns this year with a clear ambition: to support industry professionals in enhancing their skills and adapting to new market challenges. Launched by the southern province, this programme is open to all tourism stakeholders, including accommodation providers, restaurateurs, transport operators, and activity providers. Over the past eight years, it has already enabled more than 2,500 professionals to benefit from tailored support adapted to their specific needs.
New features to better meet industry needs
Enhancing the programme are:
Specialised coaching in artificial intelligence and digital tools; “Tourism Coffees”, fostering exchanges between professionals and sharing best practices
Tailored support with industry experts to structure and boost business activities
“We offer a highly personalised training programme because every operator is unique. Depending on the size of their business, the nature of their activity, or their level of digital maturity, their needs are not necessarily the same. So we’ve moved from group training sessions to formats like coaching and bespoke support,” said Dominique Le Poul, PPAT Coordinator and Directorate of Economic Development and Tourism (DDET), on NC 1ère, 4 March 2025.
A programme designed for professionals
A dozen coaches gathered this week, brought together by the Directorate of Economic Development and Tourism (DDET), to launch this new edition. On the agenda: training sessions tailored to real-world challenges and the specific needs of industry professionals.
- Commercial strategy and digitalisation: Mastering tools to develop customer reach.
- Customer experience and personal development: Enhancing hospitality skills and professional confidence.
- Sustainable tourism: Integrating eco-friendly practices into business operations.
Financial support
To encourage training among tourism stakeholders, the Southern Province covers 80 to 90% of costs for training sessions and personalised support.
All programme resources are available online, providing easy access to webinars, tutorials, and practical tools.
