Dear actors of tourism in South Province!

The Société Publique Locale (SPL) SUD TOURISME has been in operation for a few days and we are pleased to send you our first press release.

SUD TOURISME is a commercial company owned by its public shareholders (South Province, Nouméa, Dumbéa, Païta, Mont Dore and Boulouparis). Other communes, such as Île des Pins and La Foa, are expected to join us soon. Tourism professionals are represented by the CCI, which sits on the SPL’s Board of Directors.

The SPL SUD TOURISME will continue to operate the “DESTINATION PROVINCE SUD” (DPS) brand, with a few changes to the graphic identity to better match the new tourism promotion strategy desired by the partners and the South Province. From now on, tourism will be promoted by theme: adventure, sports, urban, culinary, cultural, family…
The colors previously used by region have been replaced by more natural colors. “DESTINATION PROVINCE SUD” highlights a natural, outdoor destination. The DPS graphic charter has been reworked with this in mind.

Beyond its mission to promote and enhance tourism in the South Province, the core mission of SPL SUD TOURISME is to accompany and support professionals in structuring their offer, marketing and raising the profile of their services. Two parallel initiatives are underway.

The first, right now, is to give your actions and products visibility on the “DESTINATION PROVINCE SUD” social networks. You are invited to send your suggestions for publications to the following e-mail address: contact@sudtourisme.nc. These requests must be accompanied by one or more royalty-free visuals, and a short presentation of the services offered. Our teams will contact you to finalize your promotion. The second step will require your invaluable collaboration, as it concerns the development of SPL SUD TOURISME’s future online booking platform. This marketplace will list all tourism service providers in the South Province.

No SPL membership is required to enable tourism professionals in the South Province to benefit from our general services. The listing of all service providers on this platform will be free of charge.
Fee-based options will be offered, including content writing, photo or video production, push marketing operations, etc. We will consult you on this platform project to gather any comments you may have during its design.

The SPL SUD TOURISME also has a mission to promote unusual tourism products, including more leisure activity providers. SPL teams will support you in the creation and marketing of these novel collections.

Another mission entrusted to the SPL by its shareholders is the programming of events aimed at stimulating tourist activity! Two events will be proposed this year. Firstly, a “DESTINATION PROVINCE SUD” stand will be set up in the Groupama race village to promote nautical or sea-related activities. We’ll also be busy preparing a trade show in September/October, which will bring us together to prepare for the 2022/2023 vacation season! The Islands Province and the Northern Province are involved in the preparations and should be present! The show will have a strong
identity and will be built around the theme of outdoor activities. Of course, accommodation, catering and crafts will also be represented! We’ll be sending you more details on this highlight of the year in a few weeks’ time!

The “DESTINATION PROVINCE SUD” website is once again being animated and updated as soon as possible, as are its social networks. You can also reach the whole team on 24 24 28. Our offices are temporarily located at the top of Place des Cocotiers in Nouméa. We are working to open a reception in Nouméa for the general public as soon as possible, and in partnership with the CCI, manager of the Tontouta airport site and the other two provinces to rethink the passenger reception so that it fits in with current, warm trends.

We are proud and happy to open with you, this new page of
tourism in the South Province and to work alongside you!”
