Towards the emergence of a tourism federation

Sud Tourisme Nouvelle-Calédonie invites tourism socio-professional stakeholders to participate in a workshop to determine how best to represent their interests.

The aim is to give weight to the sector

The tourism sector is diverse, made up of different sectors and businesses of varying sizes. To give concrete expression to its desire to involve tourism industry professionals in its tasks as an attractiveness agency, Sud Tourisme Nouvelle-Calédonie has commissioned the Chamber of Commerce and Industry-New Caledonia (CCI-NC) to establish a diagnosis of the sector’s current structure and to support the players in working together to define the best possible representation.

From diagnosis to action plan

The partnership agreement signed on 20 December 20 (find out more) between the South Province, Sud Tourisme Nouvelle-Calédonie, and the CCI-NC has set the ball rolling.

A survey of professionals was carried out from 18 January to 2 February to establish a diagnosis of the current situation. The results were presented on 18 April during a morning meeting.

All socio-professional players in the tourism industry are invited to register for the morning session devoted to them on 1 August from 8am to 12:30pm at Fort Teremba.

It’s an opportunity to continue thinking about the structuring options available to professionals, and to define how to implement the best solution to represent the general interests of the sector.
