data-only subscription

If you need an internet connection for one of your connected devices, such as a tablet or a smartwatch, the OPT (Office of Posts and Telecommunications of New Caledonia) offers data-only subscriptions without traditional voice call services. These plans are ideal for any device requiring internet access, with a range of options available. You can choose from small data packages for light use to more extensive plans for heavy usage. Additionally, these subscriptions often allow for account top-ups or adding options for sending local SMS messages.

Mobile offers

OPT’s mobile plans are designed to suit various needs. If you live or plan to stay in New Caledonia for a while, you can choose from three main options. Existing Mobilis customers can change their plan online through the OPT website. If you are not yet a customer, you will need to make an appointment with a consultant or visit one of the 16 partner stores in the Southern Province.

Prepaid Kit

The OPT Prepaid Kit is an ideal solution if you are looking for maximum mobile flexibility without commitment. You pay only for what you use, making it perfect for travelers or temporary residents in New Caledonia. There are three types of top-ups available:

  • Recharge at 1050 F + 10 free SMS
  • Recharge at 3,150 F + 30 free SMS
  • Recharge at 5,250 F + 50 free SMS

The local call rate is 44.52 F per minute. This option gives you full control over your mobile budget without the need for a long-term contract.

M Plans

The M Plan from OPT is designed for more regular use. It is suitable if you need consistent access to both mobile data and telephony services. It offers various tiers of data and services, starting from one hour of local calls and up to 25 GB of high-speed mobile internet, with a starting price of 1,000 F per month. This plan is contract-free. Note that there is a 1,590 F activation fee.

Blocked Plans

If you want to avoid unexpected costs while keeping your expenses under control, this plan is particularly suitable. Often chosen for young users or those who want to manage their mobile spending closely, the Blocked Plan deducts from a monthly credit at the local call rate of 44.52 F per minute, without the possibility of exceeding the limit. This contract-free plan is also compatible with on-demand mobile internet or 4G for temporary internet access wherever you are. Like the M Plan, it has a 1,590 F activation fee.
