Rules to observe at sea

Nature reserves

They are open to the public, but strict rules apply. You can’t fish, make noise, feed animals, collect mineral, plant or animal species, bring your dog or make a fire outside the landscaped areas. Islets in this category include Larégnère, Signal, l’île Verte and l’îlot Konduyo.

Sustainable resource management areas

The aim of these areas is to combine biodiversity protection with the development of sustainable tourism activities. Fishing, as well as any collection or wildfire are strictly forbidden here. The islets Amédée, Maître, Canard, Tenia, as well as Moindé and Casy fall into this classification.

In general, please remember the following rules of respect:

• Don’t land your pet on an islet.
• Don’t cut wood and avoid making fires as much as possible.
• Don’t collect anything on the islet.
• Take all your garbage back with you and don’t throw your cigarette butts.
• Don’t empty your fish or organic waste into the sea.
• Limit noise pollution so as not to disturb the animals.
• Don’t trample the coral when swimming in PMT.
• Don’t collect shellfish you don’t know.
